ATAN-OTA, OGUN STATE – Community leaders in Atan-Ota have commended the developmental strides of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), describing his healthcare intervention in the area as a model for people-centered governance and sustainable community development.
The commendation came during the commissioning of the newly completed Primary Health Centre at Kooko Ebiye, Atan-Ota, where the Senator was presented with an Award of Honour by Comrade Chief Olamilekan Abatan, former ACDC Chairman and current Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), on behalf of the Atan Area Community Committee.
The award, presented on Monday, June 22, 2026, recognized Senator Adeola’s commitment to improving the quality of life of residents through strategic investments in critical infrastructure, particularly healthcare.
Representing Senator Adeola at the event, Otunba Niyi Sannusi expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed the Senator’s dedication to delivering impactful projects across Ogun State.
Speaking during the presentation, Comrade Abatan described the health facility as a reflection of visionary leadership that places the welfare of citizens at the center of governance.
According to him, access to quality healthcare remains one of the most important indicators of community development, noting that the establishment of the modern Primary Health Centre will significantly improve medical access for residents while reducing the burden of travelling long distances for basic healthcare services.
He further stated that Senator Adeola’s intervention demonstrates a clear understanding of the challenges facing grassroots communities and a practical commitment to addressing them through sustainable solutions.
Community stakeholders observed that beyond providing medical services, the facility is expected to contribute to economic and social growth within the Kooko Ebiye axis by creating a healthier population, enhancing productivity, and attracting further development to the area.
Residents described the project as a landmark achievement and a symbol of responsive representation, noting that investments in healthcare have long-term benefits that extend beyond immediate medical care to overall community well-being.
