Customs Kano/Jigawa Command Celebrates Unprecedented N6.9B Revenue Landmark in November

 


The Nigeria Customs Service, Kano/Jigawa Area Command, proudly announces a historic feat in revenue collection, achieving an exceptional N6.9 billion in revenue for November 2023.


The revelation comes through an official statement dated 4 December 2023, signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Customs, Saidu Narrudden, on behalf of the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Dauda Chana.


The reported revenue is a testament to the Command's operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with customs regulations while facilitating legitimate trade.


Under the leadership of Comptroller Dauda Chana, the Command also boasts 230 seizures in the same period, with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) totaling N8,610,000.


Comptroller Chana emphasized, "This achievement underscores the Command's commitment to its mandate of revenue generation, trade facilitation, and border security." He highlighted the implementation of innovative measures, technological advancements, and collaborative efforts with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.


Expressing gratitude to his dedicated team, the CAC acknowledged their hard work, diligence, and unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism. He stated, "The success achieved would not have been possible without their dedication and teamwork."


Comptroller Chana also appreciated sister security agencies, the business community, importers, exporters, and other critical stakeholders for their crucial collaboration and assistance in reaching this significant milestone.
