The Executive Governor of Ogun state, His Excellency, Prince Adedapo Abiodun, MFR who was also awarded as the most outstanding Governor on Security matters ably represented by the Chairman, Ogun State Security Trust Fund, Rtd Aig Bolaji Balogun presented the Award to His Majesty at the well attended event held on Thursday, 29th September 2022 at OOPL Hall, Abeokuta.
The Commisioner of Police, Ogun state Command, Cp Lanre Bankole who was equally honoured at the security summit led other leading officers in the state to the occassion.
According to the Convener, Jibromah on behalf of the National Watch Tabloid said the award is “in recognition of His Majesty's outstanding contribution and relentless efforts in crime prevention especially his exceptional contribution in supporting the security agenda of Cp Lanre Sikiru Bankole administration for the past months in the state, and his impacting interventions to other security agencies in the State.
Kabiyesi Olota has always made security a priority since his emergence as the Monarch of the ancient City of Otta in enhancing the safety of his subjects (Natives and Non-Indigenes). He has immensely contributed to the security sector via-a-viz flag off and instant commitment to the construction of Police Station within Otta township, donation of patrol vehicle to Nigerian Navy, intervention during End Sars protest, donation of Escort Vehicle to the recently inaugurated Amotekun Security Network by the Executive Governor of Ogun state, provision of operational motorcycles to various security agencies, provision of base/building for various security agencies and other several intervention on security related matters beyond his domain in complementing the effort of Prince Adedapo Abiodun led administration.
Other distinguished awardees includes; the Executive Governor of Ogun state, Prince Adedapo Abiodun, Rtd AIG Bolaji Balogun, Aare Adetola Emmanuel GMD/CEO Adron Homes, Kabiyesi Elegushi of Egushi Otta, Oba Maroof Alagbe and other highly respected tradtional leaders and personalities.
